XXXXX | Title:– Sri Lanka’s Emergency Law or State-Sponsored Terrorism About the book:– The state-sponsored tyranny that has resulted from the current state of emergency in Sri Lanka is attributed to the country’s draconian anti-terrorist legislation. This report highlights pertinent provisions of Sri Lankan legislation, namely the Public Security Ordinance, the Prevention of Terrorism Act, and the Emergency Regulations, which have contributed to the horrendous decline of human rights. A legal analysis under domestic law and international human rights standard is presented at the end by providing examples of misuse of the Emergency Regulations in Sri Lanka.
